Service Brochure: Easterseals NJ
Creating a brochure for a nonprofit with 10+ vastly different services under its umbrella, came as a challenge when the client requested one document to house them all. Playing off of their mission statement to “enrich the lives of people living with disabilities and special needs by providing opportunities to live, learn, work, and play in their communities,” a segmented yet unified brochure was born.
Solving more than one problem
Using a toggled system of inserts, each program or service was subdivided into four sections - live, learn, work and play. Creating this arrangement unifies the brochure, allows for the programs to be easily identified through simple language while making use of the brand’s primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, as well as provides an opportunity for the end-user to use or disperse the inserts that are most useful to them.
A free-flowing system
Inserts were developed so that both sides could be used interchangeably within the brochure, as well as stand on their own if necessary. This free-flowing system also allows the organization to update information individually and more frequently without having to mass print multiple pages at once.
This brochure was chosen as a winner for GD USA’s 2018 American Inhouse Design Awards in June of 2018 in the category of service brochures.
